The band Rise Against has been part of the music world since 1999, producing six albums starting in 2006. Endgame is their newest CD that was started in the latter half of 2010, and already has sold plenty of albums. This CD has a very alternative and punk feel to it. If you are interested in this genre, I would recommend listening to this album. The first hit single chosen off of it was track 5, Satellite.
On the making of the album, vocalist/guitarist Tim McIlrath says “It’s about a dangerous time in civilization, the end of life.” There are thoughts that Rise Against is a very, very important band to it’s true, ever-expanding fan base. The response of listeners has shown that it been an overwhelmingly positive source to help them even find a career path and choice since the band came together over a decade ago.
Rise Against started its most recent tour on April 20th 2011, and play over 30 concerts. The closest concert coming to the Twin Cities area is in St Paul, MN at the Xcel Energy Center, and also at Summerfest 2011, in Milwaukee, WI.
This band can relate to a lot of high school students if you listen to the lyrics that they say. They have a deeper meaning behind them then most of the bands heard by students. In my opinion, I would definitely recommend a purchase of this album.
