North Basketball is looking for YOU. The Polars’ finished the season last year with an early exit from the section 4aaaa tournament in the first round of preliminaries but showed that they have what it takes after having a six game win streak right before the postseason. Anyone interested or that would like information can contact senior Rex Johnson or juniors Hunter Books and Johnny Economy. Or any other basketball player you may know.
“We love having new players come out each year. They keep us on our toes and we are always looking to improve our team as a whole.” Says junior Hunter Books who was a key component to the North offense. When asked about the basketball season Hunter says, “We practice everyday after school and even though it turns into a drag for a while, it is definitely fun with all of the guys and we enjoy every second of the season.”
The North players also hold open gym Wednesday nights in the offseason where you can get information from the head coach or any of next year’s captains. Also it’s a fun time to shoot around with your friends, and have a good time playing a very fun sport.
