Senior Party

It was decided by the Senior Party Committee that the 2012
senior party theme would be “Welcome to the Jungle.” The date of the senior
party is Wednesday June 6th, the night after graduation. “I am on
the senior party planning committee in charge of decorations. Let’s just say,
the party will be a great last experience for the students in their high
school,” says Jeanne Flaherty. The parents have many activities already planned
out, but most of them are to be kept on the down low.

Vikings New Stadium

Bill Larson talked about the Viking stadium being built in Arden Hills, and he said that it is the best economy idea that you ask for. If the stadium is built right way it could help the state. Right now people are saying that Minnesota it at the bottom. Zygi Wilf the owner of Viking, he think that will be a better idea for the team to move. They are looking at building the stadium the real NFL experience, if it out work out people from all over will be coming there to see the stadium.
The fans don’t want to see the Vikings leave. The player on the Viking pay 20 million dollar just for the taxes. Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bear, and Detroit Lions are getting pay more than the Minnesota Viking. The Vikings is 30 million dollar lower. On January, 10/2012 when the Viking played the Dallas Cowboy a lot of outsider spend like six million dollar for thing that they needed just to watch the game.
The Minnesota Vikings have the oldest stadium in the NFL. Mr. Bill Larson said that if they built the stadium and the Viking play good next year they should pay back the money to those who help out and the rest of the money should be for getting a better quarterback.

2012 World Ending??

There are sayings all over the internet and in movies about the world ending and how it will end. There are some theories that say the world will end with a giant hole that takes oer the hole world. some say that aliens will come and take over our world. There is other theories hat say the world will blow up from the heat of global warming. Theres another theorie hat says the moon is going to keep going farther and farther away form the earth and the earth will spin out of contoll or spin into the sun. How many theories could there be? Almost everyone has a different idea of how the world is going to end so alot.

Ten out of ten people i asked around North said they dont believe the world will end this year or ever in the near future. Seven out of ten believe that something big will happen this year to the world though. Four out of ten people said that they think something bad will happen wiht global warming this year because the winter has been so warm.

The other Six people that dont believe global warming is a big deal think that something in their personal life or world wide problems iwll happen. Or the opposite, something good will happen to their life or world.

One person I talked to said htat they think something good will happen in econimics in the world this year. like their will be more jobs opening up and she can get a job to help support her family. anohter person says he thinks something good will happen to him on his birthday maybe even get a car. These two people think something good will happen in 2012 while some dont think something good will happen to them. Some people say global warming is going to be a big problem and it will kill all the polar bears and they will become extint, or going to be on the endangered speices list. Another person thinks something will happen to the economic world like we run out of gas or iol or electricity or something like that where it will make a dramatic change in our life style. Who knows whats really gooing to heppen, its different for everyone we'll all jsut have to wait and see.

North Vs. South

On Tuesday, January 24th, the North St. Paul and
South St. Paul varsity hockey teams came together to compete for a win. After
the junior varsity ended with a loss to the South St. Paul Packers, the spirits
of the varsity team weakened.
“I went through the day confident that the JV team and the
varsity team would come out with a win,” says Ryan Nicolai, a starting forward
on the varsity team. “After the JV unexpectedly lost, this made the team
question ourselves and our abilities.”
The game began rather aggressive as the Polars knew that
they would have some competition on their hands. The fans that were seated in
the stands were jumping up with excitement every time the puck was near the
net.
“It took us a while to get into the swing of things during
the first period, but when we left to the locker rooms after the buzzer it was
2-1, North St. Paul. This score is too close for comfort and we were determined
to get farther ahead,” says Frank Flaherty, a right wing.
And this is exactly what they did. During the second period,
the determination to put a few points between North and the opponent was
obvious. The checks became more violent, the penalties became more frequent and
the goalies became more exhausted.
“We scored three goals in the second period, giving us a
significant amount of leeway and lifting a weight off our shoulders,” says
forward, Justin Oliver.
The third period was by far the most intense, as one would
have expected. The Packers were getting frustrated the farther they fell behind,
so they began to pick up their game. Unfortunately, the odds were not in their
favor.
Jimmy Karel, a defenseman says, “North beat the
South, 8-5! It was a great game.. obviously.”

North High dances

Have you been to a north high school dance? Homecoming, Sadie’s, snow daze? I asked North high junior Tejay Raggs if he enjoy school dances, “no not really, not much to dance to” I asked him about his general enjoyment at school dances and what he would improve. “Its average nothing special, I’ve only been to one school dances and I probably won’t go to one again. “ I also agree with Tejay, my last dance was 10th grade year at sadies, it was not enjoyable, they repeated songs, the lights where on , a former north high student Tre’nisha Jackson had this to say “ I wanted my money back , I was new to the school and didn’t have a ID yet , it took about 45 minutes to get inside the dance , to make sure was a north high student. Then when I was inside , they kept the lights on , repeated “ teach me how to dougie over 3 times , and played un-danceable music.
